On Friday the 6th Feb, eighteen club members represented GWPC in the 37th Rotary Swimarathon at The Meres. We had four lanes and each lane swam, danced and sang their hearts out.

The Dolphins - Bella, Charis, Maria, Hana & Niha, swam 176 lengths.
The Penguins - Claire, Ralph, Ben S & James swam 138 lengths.
The Sharks - Dave R, Thomas, Finley & Eugene swam 212 lengths.
The Orcas - Oscar, Alex W, Jacob, Gabriel & Ben A swam a whopping 235 lengths.

That’s a very impressive 761 lengths in total. Special mention to Claire N and Dave R for volunteering to swim with the players.

After all the hard work, chocolates, doughnuts and cookies were kindly provided by Alun, Sabeen and coach Dave. They were soon polished off!

Thank you to the swimmers for volunteering, to coach Dave for the chocolates, to Alun and Sabeen for the doughnuts and cookies, everyone who cheered and clapped the swimmers along and everyone who donated. Our total raised so far is about £400, brilliant!

Well done everyone. It was a pleasure to spend the evening with such a fabulous group of individuals.
