Welcome to the last half of the 2025 water polo season. We hope you had a good summer and all those taking exams this year were successful and looking forward to the next chapters of sixth form, college, apprenticeships, University, or employment!

We are writing to you as your committee with a request. We are a growing club run by volunteers. None of our coaches are paid and provide all their time free of charge. For them to concentrate on coaching and developing our players we need help from parents/carers with support and admin roles to keep the club afloat. We currently have some wonderful helpers, but they are very few and already overloaded with duties. We are looking for anyone who has any spare time to help us, it might only be half an hour a month, but anytime you can offer would be appreciated.

We have many roles available from committee members to small admin roles. An example of these include:
o Committee members.
o Fundraising/Grant applications.
o DofE poolside helper coordinator.
o Club Socials.
o Managing Supporter Qualifications, safeguarding renewals etc.
o Team Managers.
o Table officials.
o Assistant treasurer.
o Kit & stock management, storage, re-ordering.

If you can help with any of the above or if you have any skills, you think the club could receive help from please contact Dave Newton (chair). If you already offer your time to another club/activity, please say and we will not pester you!

Without new volunteers the club will struggle to continue to offer the number of training sessions and range of fixtures currently available.

Finally, a message from the head coach. Training sessions and session movements for 2026 are currently under review, and you will be notified of any changes after October half term.
