Thursday 27th November, saw the U16s at home against Hucknall. The strength that Hucknall have and that they were playing to top the league, meant this would be a very hard game for Grantham. However, the Grantham team were fantastic, the commitment, energy and guts were epic. Grantham held Hucknall to 2 goals to 3 at the end of the 1st quarter. Hucknall pulled away in the next two quarters, but Grantham fought back in the last quarter to hold Hucknall to two goals each, with a spectacular last second long range goal from Reuben I. Other goal scorers were Sam B (3) and Alex W (1). For many of the U16s players this was their last league game in this age group, but what a performance to go out on; awesome game everyone.
